This type of rain gear...is deffinitly not recommended for backpacking!!
or anything else for that matter!!!!
I'm sure it will pass....
That mountain is where we are headed!
See it has cleared up...almost sunny now!
From the first part of that mountain looking back.. the 2 bald patches, that is where we started.
Hummm...might be a little snow up on top, looks like even here the snow has not yet left.
A small waterfall in the distance.
As we headed up the pass it was not to bad until we hit the other side. At that point it was difficult to see the trail will close to 4 feet of snow in places covering the trail!
The only places with no snow...were soaked, EVERYWHERE! So was the available firewood.
This was the first trip Dusty went with us...our adopted dog. This trip we did not even know her name...but what a trooper she was!!
Will you guys get that FIRE going!!!
This is were the trail continued on around the lake. Yes there was a lake there, but we never saw it!!
Our camp site...it snowed that night and we hightailed it out soaked and cold the next morning.
