We create all of our own backpacking food with a dehydrator. It is nice to be able to spice it up the way you like it and we enjoy the challenge of learning how to make our menus better and better! We also like to supplement our trips with fresh salads and fruit when we can. Use extreme caution in identifying any wild plants or fruits before eating, we highly recommend taking a good plant book with you. Beware of allergic reactions as well.
